Driving in the neighborhood safety tips: What can residents do?
Driving in the neighborhood safety tips: What can residents do?
- Drive 25 mph or less. The maximum legal speed in the neighborhood is 25 mph.
- Give yourself more time to react to the unexpected. You may be driving faster than you should. Become aware of your speed.
- Leave a little earlier. Give yourself ample time to reach your destination.
- Set the pace. Driving at or below the 25 mph speed limit forces those behind you to follow at your safe, legal speed.
- Don't be a speeder, be a leader! Be alert and don't take chances. Statistics show that most crashes occur close to home.
